Between 12:00 – 12:30 (midday) we pick you up in Reykjavik at your accommodation. We use Suburban luxury jeep or similar. Max 6 people/jeep.
Stop one: Thingvellir National Park
Stop two: Geysir hot springs
Stop three: Gullfoss waterfall
Stop four: at a restaurant for dinner (please note, food is not included)
Stop five: Floating & in-water massage at the Secret Lagoon
Stop six: overnight sleep in a bubble. Two people per bubble.
Next morning we have breakfast and head back to Reykjavik, we are usually back around 11:00 – 11:30

Stop 1: Thingvellir National Park

Our first stop is Thingvellir National Park. It is a UNESCO world heritage site and the most significant place regarding Icelandic history. The name Thingvellir in Icelandic means “Parliament Fields”.

The general assembly, the Althing was established here in 930 AD making it one of the oldest parliaments in the world. Thingvellir is also known for its geology and has been a protected area since 1928. [/ut_one_fifth]

Thingvellir is amongst the very few places on Earth where you can observe a continental drift valley between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates.[/ut_one_fifth]

Stop 2: Geyser Hot Spring

Our next stop is the famous Geysir hot spring area. It is located in the geothermally active valley Haukadalur. Today the most active is Strokkur, an energetic spouting hot spring, which goes up every 5 minutes or so.

The white column of boiling water forms a beautiful half bubble before it goes up as a super-heated steaming water. It can reach the height of 15-30 m (60-90 feet). Strokkur (the churn) was formed in an earthquake in the year of 1789.[/ut_one_fifth]

Other interesting hot springs are Blesi and Fata, the former are two large basins separated by the ”blaze” but connected to it is Fata. We also have Konungshver named after King Christian IX king from Denmark.[/ut_one_fifth]

Stop 3: Gullfoss waterfall

Our next stop is Gullfoss waterfall, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Iceland. It runs down the river Hvítá into beautiful curved three step “staircase”!

It is a very powerful experience to walk close to the waterfall on the west side as on average we have 140 cubic meters per second (80 in winter) falling down the staircases.[/ut_one_fifth]

When you arrive at Gullfoss parking area, the edge can’t be seen, so it appears as the earth is simply absorbing the waterfall. [/ut_one_fifth]

Stop 4: Floating in Secret Lagoon

Our next stop is in the Secret Lagoon at Fludir. It is a unique natural hot spring and the oldest swimming pool in Iceland (made in 1891). Its temperature is perfect and the water holds at 38-40 Celsius (100-104 Fahrenheit) all year around.

You will be provided with a unique floating kit (for head and legs) to enjoy floating in the Secret Lagoon. This is an optional activity and done in public opening hours, so sometimes it can be too crowded for the floating experience to be relaxing.[/ut_one_fifth]

When done floating and enjoying the Secret Lagoon you will boil eggs in Vadmalshver – a natural hot spring – using fishing rods. [/ut_one_fifth]

Stop 5: Sleeping in a bubble

Our last visit will be at a bubble for a night stay. All the bubbles have a transparent upper half or are fully transparent, so if the aurora is dancing you will have a private show.

TYPE OF BUBBLE
Until 10. June we have 4x UFO bubbles available and 2x fully transparent bubbles but after 10. June we will have 6x fully transparent bubbles. All the same. Both types fit for 2 adults. The UFO bubbles have a round mattress with diameter of 2.4 m. The fully transparent bubbles have a double bed.

MIN NR OF PASSENGERS
We have a minimum number of 4 adults for the tour to go. You can book below for 2 adults but if the minimum number of 4 will not be reached one week before departure date, we will cancel the tour and refund the money 100% back to your credit card. We just bought two new Suburbans for this tour only. Each has 6 seats so we can max have 12 passengers for 6 bubbles each day. These jeeps are the same as US presidents have been using for decades minus we dont have the bullet proof version!
